I went to St Cross on Tuesday to photograph the Easter flowers.
Today Sylv and I are going for lunch at The Bell, the public house next door to the almshouses. Jinks is coming too so that I can keep an eye on him as his lampshade collar somehow came off once. He is booked in to the vet for an op to remove the little growth on his leg tomorrow.
Had decided to leave my camera at home but have now realised that I will get withdrawal symptoms if I do!
Thank you for all your interest in my photos - as ever I read and appreciate every comment and I am always open to constructive criticism.. In general I do not comment on comments but, in turn, like to visit and comment on shots.
I noted yesterday that my 'double red' reached PP and this morning also 'pale pink'. PP, for me, is not the essence of 365 - but it does give a boost!
Beautiful shot and what a lovely floral arrangement. How could you even think of leaving your camera at home. Mine comes with me everywhere. You never know when that photo opportunity will raise its head.
Joyce, thank you. I started off in front of the flowers and then realised I could get a more interesting shot by moving a bit further left to include more of the church interior.
Ann, I know and whichever way I straightened it, it still seemed a little tilted - so I settled for the least tilt! Perhaps it's something to do with 'converging verticals' (I may have that expression wrong) but I don't have software to cope with that! It was horrid leaving Jinks at the vet's this morning. @phil_howcroft
Yes, the verticals can throw you off! Sometimes I straighten the picture using the vertical, sometimes the horizontal. Hope all is going well with Jinks this evening.
Thanks will try using horizontal in a shot like this next time - will be quicker even if not completely effective. Here's the rest of my day with Jinks! http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/a-few-more/2015-04-10 Thanks so much for good wishes. The night was also a bit of a muddle but he's settled down this morning, had breakfast
Fabulous shot, Hazel. I get a bit of a tilt as well though they look straight when I shoot the original photo. I just use tilt back on iPhoto on my MAC. I will have to check on Jinks too. FAV

William, that's something to reflect upon!

I do get about a lot, but only locally and I always take a 'minder' for Jinks!!!
I agree, Pat. There's something about the fresh colours against the backdrop of the lovely architecture.
