We had some interesting input at our photography group yesterday about different types of light. I also discovered that I have dynamic range optimization in 5 levels on my Sony. Until I get round to checking it out on the online help page (what a shame those little paper manuals have been mostly phased out) I've set it on auto.
I'd taken my camera to the group so I stopped off at Shawford Down en route home to see what I could find and found this crab apple tree.
Very nice to see that my English bluebells in the bluebell wood and my Spanish pink 'belles' in our garden both made PP - thank you!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
expertly shot hazel, the bokeh is as beautiful as the blossom.
Sometimes we can have too much technical photography knowledge. A significant unmeasurable part of a photo is the heart and emotion from the photographer (tell your photo group your mate Phil said that !!!!)
Phil, I guess that for about 10 years my photos were purely 'p&s heart and emotion' but I think it has been good for me to learn about the way a camera operates. I'll never have too much tecchie knowledge - e.g. histograms are still a 'delicious' mystery to me.
Karin, thank you - good to 'see' you back on 365.
