rosebuds in a row by quietpurplehaze

rosebuds in a row

I captured these whilst I was trying to get a shot of a bird (ANY sort of bird) on our feeder. So elusive, those birds. Think the seedheads could be from aquilegia. And, as usual, it seems that when there are roses, there are greenfly.

A boost to see a couple of my poppy shots made it to PP, thank you for support.
I love how they stand out against the dark background. You can just see the promise of real beauty in these soon-to-be roses.

@tonygig

Yes, thanks, Tony. I had another look when I was out in the garden again. I think they are quite architectural?

yes far too difficult getting birds on the feeders. there is a solution though hazel. You need to build a DIY hive and then sit patiently :) You think I'm joking don't you !!! One of the judges who visits our camera club has built a hive in his garden

@phil_howcroft

I believe you Phil! The main quality I am lacking in capturing birds is patience!
