Commissioned by Ray, designed and created by Clare, an orchid necklace set in silver with a little sapphire centre to each flower, two blue and one pink. It arrived on the day by special delivery and I was totally surprised and amazed and - lots of other feelings.
It do remember Ray knowing recently that sapphires can be pink as well as blue!
Very hard to photograph successfully and I am always in awe of Clare's photos of her pieces on her web page, as well as her skill and talent in crafting them.
Thanks for all the views, comments and favs putting my yesterday's 'looking up' shot on PP.
What a beautiful piece Hazel and what a talented daughter you have. Really looking forward to mine! :-) Just being nosey but how come she ended up in Scotland and you're down south?
Well it was kind of via Lancaster for uni, (English and Philosophy) then Oxford, next Dublin where she worked at UCD and thence to Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.
