Competition ? ( Kidding) Great fav. shot of those lot.
Thanks Hazel for you lovely concern. No , I`m not leaving. I thought it was very clear I did the song for the wood. Sorry , my mistake.
Thanks everyone for such a great response to my toadstool city. I like finding shots with potential close to home. Every autumn I'm on the hunt for one of those red toadstools with white spots on (as elusive as kingfishers) and now I'm looking for pixies and fairies too.....
Hazel..... my sister in law's father in law used to go mushroom picking. He knew all about them. His wife used to can them as well, and served cooked and over polenta, mmmmmm.
I have eaten the wild mushrooms. Best things ever. I just don't think I would go a pick them. It's a lot of work, and I don't really know which ones are the bad ones...LOL.. So mine come from the store as well.
Great capture and close up,my wife's mother had a lot of interest in fungi and things like that we have orange ones with white spec's I will try and find a photo just for you fav:)

That's interesting. I do love mushrooms but mine come strictly from the supermarket!
I'd like to see that.
