An amazing day yesterday for the first of November: bright sunshine, mild, a little breeze. We went to the beach at Troon.

Here's Clare with her dog, Quela. We even found a restaurant to sit outside and have a late Sunday lunch.

I could imagine, on a day like this, living in one of those little white houses overlooking the sparkling sea.
