The only consideration is that it has at last turned really cold here and I've yet to find a dog-groomer who can comply with 'not too short, please.'
So I guess it will be a homespun job with Ray holding Jinks and me wielding the scissors and electric dog clipper. I'll leave you to imagine what Jinks will be doing!
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
I never considered I might have as much trouble with the pet groomer as I do with my own stylist! ONE is difficult enough without TWO! Be sure he's left with coat-enough to be warm!
Beautiful shot azel --love the glint in his eye ! Alfie is also well overdue for a trim ,and like you can not install in the dog groomer's mind the term "not too short " !! so like you I will have to get the scissors out when I feel up to it ! ( and to Alfie's displeasure !!)
I have just had a too short haircut so know exactly how Jinks would feel! I have resorted to wearing a scarf round my neck to keep warm! Love thecwY his eye is still glinting there under his furry fringe!
Yes, it's feeling up to it which is the problem, Beryl - in my case! Jinks hates being groomed: giving him a bath is OK as he's too scared to even open his mouth but when it comes to the trim we just know the point in the crescendo of growl when we have to put the muzzle on him. Right now he's hiding under the bed here in the spare room where I have my laptop as Ray and Neil are using our recently bought steam cleaner to do the tiled and wood floors downstairs,
You have it in one, Kane. A young dog groomer ignored his growling once and paid for it: mind, she was attacking the soft fur under his tummy with a metal comb with sharp teeth and when she ignored his protests, he bit her on the hand. I paid the £20 fee as I felt guilty about it and then had to find another groomer.
