I've now found an option on the camera for 'wide' panorama, which I assume means 'tall' which would have been an advantage for these two shots in the church at the Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty
Grey and rainy Sunday today but I shall not complain thinking of everyone, especially fellow 365ers, in USA, grappling with a snowstorm. Stay safe!.
Beautiful panorama pictures. It's grey and rainy here too, but the snow has almost disappeared. Saw the snowstorm in the USA on TV last night. Looks horrible.
What a beautiful church. I hope you do some separate panoramas of it as the collage sort of squishes it! The lower picture is really appealing- so peaceful.
This is the church in the Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty at Winchester. It's a Norman church - 11th century. I go to the almshouses a lot as I always find lovely photographic opps and I relish the peace and tranquility. The almshouses are a secular institution but the Brothers who live there have only one duty - to go to morning service every day wearing their robes - this is Brother John who featured in my strangers' series http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/add-ins/2015-11-18
C'est la vie!
Thank you, Pat! I hope they will be impressed at the photography group!!
Trying to be cheeky and get an extra shot into my quota for our photography group next week!!!
p.s. The squash is because I did not use the 'wide' i.e. 'tall' panorama option on my camera - only now discovered it.

We could have a photoshoot - and in the summer, tea and cake in the Hundred Men's Hall.....
