practising panorama: the quad and the Brothers' quarters
I took this panorama at the Hospital of St Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty standing with my back to the Norman Church.
As well as the Brother' quarters with the tall chimneys (I think they use central heating nowadays!) you can see the main entrance arch with the tall tower. The path to the garden (shown in yesterday's pano) is in the far right hand corner of my shot.
If you are ever in Winchester this is a great place for photography. I have an annual pass and visit often.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
As well as the photography I love the tranquillity there. Plus the walk over the water meadows is lovely. And I've found 3 portraits for my strangers' project amongst brothers and staff!
Even better than yesterday's Hazel. This is a great place to practice on as you can see exactly how you've done! I forgot I was going to have a go until I saw this. Will have to think of some scene similar!

Emilie - are you torturing me - I don't have that app!
That's a nice comment, Pat, as yesterday's was the first I took and today's was the last - so obviously the practice in between helped!!
Sandy, thanks. It's an in-camera panorama.
I'm sure you would like it, Sylvia. I visit for the peace as much as the photography.
