leaves on the tree

One of those rare indoor days for me yesterday so, late in the afternoon, I took my camera and walked down to the village and a bit further to the recreation ground.

A few trees were still slow to turn colour and I like this best of the shots I took.

Once home again it was soon time to cook Saturday roast chicken dinner.

The leaves are a bit late changing colour this year. We don't get many autumn leaves here, as our local trees are mainly native gum trees.

Yes the evening soon closed in today, you do notice it the first night! I quite like the darker nights though. Get inside, fire on & be warm & cosy. A plus if being retired or working at home. Lovely red edges o those leaves.
