Marigolds were growing in the newly planted vegetable garden at Mottisfont.

I remember reading somewhere that they are good for keeping certain pests off vegetables - but the details have escaped me.........
They look so sunny!

Beautiful. Marigolds always remind me of my Auntie Hetty the only flowers she ever planted in her garden were marigolds for some reason. I wish I would have asked why that was. We just thought she was slightly eccentric.
