Here I am breaking out again from my 30 days April. Having got up and dressed unusually early considering we are in a lockdown situation, AND put on my make up, I asked the in-house photographer to take my portrait.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Beautiful portrait Hazel, that's the way to go in these uncertain times. Love your matching alice band. I find myself in joggers with no make for days on end 🙄
Great Hazel....we have to keep our standards up...no slipping into lethargy! You look gorgeous! I wore one of these bands for my granddaughters wedding. It was not as posh as a hat but just added a bit of extra razzmatazz!
Looking great and a fabulous portrait Hazel with a lovely toning back ground. I have stopped putting my makeup on for the first time since my teens what's the point no visitors and hubby in hospital saving it for the end of lockdown you never know it might be as scarce as toilet rolls by then.
Another lovely bright sunny day here in the south of England and a heartfelt thank you from me to all of you for your visits, favs, and such lovely comments. It was a spur of the moment idea to ask Ray to take my photo and I will pass on your compliments to him as the in-house photographer.
The smile is always a 'given' when he is taking my photo and the colours etc just happened including our Indian tapestry in the background. The photo was taken not with my portrait lens but with my macro lens which I personally use more and more. Lockdown is not a problem for me: I can smile but I cannot run, or even walk far now so being indoors is not difficult.
I do have a mobility scooter but still feel like a demon driver in it! Just before lockdown Ray had a hoist installed in his car boot to save him getting a hernia when we want to take the scooter further afield. I shall get more practice when life returns to 'normal'. Enjoy the rest of the week! (Maybe someone else will post their portrait.................)
Looks like Ray is challenging you for the job of portrait photographer. Mind you he did choose a good subject .. he has an eye for a fine looking woman!
fav
You wouldn't want to see a photo of me this morning, I am still wearing my daggy clothes and no make up.
