seed pod by quietpurplehaze

seed pod

Can anyone identify this? I saw it on a plant, quite close to the ground (while Jinks was taking me for a walk this morning) and I have no idea what it's called.
Is it an arum lily. Hazel? I can't see the leaves well enough but they have bright red luscious looking fruits which are very poisonous.

I think it is some sort of iris or flag. We have them in our garden and funnily enough I took some pics of the seed pods as they are so bright and colourful but then didn't post them. This is really nice

Thanks every one for comments and for suggestions - have found out that it is indeed the seed pod of stinking iris - bit of interesting info here

Can help with the identification but looks lovely. You have a wonderful contrast of Autumn colours.
