One of the shots I took as part of my photographic jaunt around Winchester yesterday. It was very cold and grey; by contrast today (Thurs) we have sun and blue sky but it's still very cold! And now it's time to take Jinks out who is standing behind the computer chair hopefully.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Nice SHOT Love the church in the background the daffs in the foreground & the added interest of the tree-- but it would be better if the tree was on the 1/3 line rather in the middle ( hope you will take this comment as a positive criticism & not be offended Hazel)
Interesting, thanks and I welcome constructive criticism - (but I am usually afraid to give it to others!). Should it be shifted right or left or does it not matter? (Are you/were you a teacher, like me?!)
@quietpurplehaze HAha how did you guess !! yes retired teacher !! ( bossy boots !! ) My late husband often put me in my place by saying " love, you're not in school now " !!The 3rd rule is that you find a1/3 across to either side, whichever suits and the same top to bottom for sky lines , horizon etc I hope this makes sense to you( It would be much easier to explain with a diagram !) End of lesson one !!
It was more a feeling than a guess! I was also a teacher but did not start my teaching career until my 40s and worked mostly with dyslexic adults. I think teachers have a love of explaining things and I've done it all my life!

Thank you - one of those shot you just see and take! (It was so cold!!)
