In my account of my failed photographic day, I omitted to mention that as I came out of the avenue of trees to the last gate into St Cross these British White Cattle were lined up really close to the path.
A little dog with its mistress ran round them off the lead barking its head off and they didn't react at all, so I felt safe in stopping for a couple of shots.
I'm not sure how the black one fits into the herd.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
They look like White Park's to me Hazel, some also have black markings also I suspect its a bull, as its that time of year the bulls are intuduced to the cows well spotted:)
You were brave Hazel I always have nightmares of being chased by a herd of cows and the black one looks a little intimidating . A nice capture of them all.
No, they are all real - but I did have a bit of trouble with bright sunlight which may be misleading you!
