The 'chips' here were called 'pommes de terrre grenailles' - new potatoes roasted in the oven in their skins and seemed to be on quite a few menus and I think to try this at home.

I think my chef is a bit further up the learning curve than yours, but yours is showing some promise. At least, adding some salad gives a nod towads healthy eating.
