She is a rescue lurcher adopted by our friends. Understandably, she was not too comfortable interacting with humans at first. We felt honoured this time we visited because she came to greet us, instead of just standing still waiting for us to approach her. http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/a-few-more/2012-11-10
Lurcher's are lovely sweet natured dogs and I'm glad she is getting used to people. I wonder why she had to be rescued because she's lovely and I like her name - it suits her
@rosiekind I asked our friend about Ginger Lily and she writes "Ginger's history is that she had been living rough and was a 'bag o'bones' and was found by a member of the public and found her way via the RSPCA (who would not keep her as she was 'vagrant') and a dog warden who called her "Frazzle", as she was worn to one; the warden took her to Celia Cross Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue who rehabilitated her and we homed her from there. She is probably all or mainly smooth haired saluki."
