The spindleberry (euonymus europaeus) gets my vote for flamboyance in the autumn with its red leaves, bright pink fruit and vivid orange seeds. As you might expect, it's very poisonous.
I found that the spindleberry grows in hedgerows in the south of England on chalk soil. There are a few of these bushes over the fields where we walk with Jinks.

Great colours. There are quite alot of these around in this part of the world but I feel that they haven't always been around. I noticed a lot for the first time last year.
