We visited friends yesterday and I'm not posting a shot of the cream cakes we had with our afternoon cup of tea. Here's Neville's cloud-pruned box tree. He fashioned it with hand shears. I'd never seen one before.
I think most of my friends are now used to me secreting my little Lumix in my handbag and producing it at what I think is an appropriate moment! A couple more shots of their lovely garden soon.
What a dedicated project, it has produced a lovely effect, in fact it almost looks like a gum tree1

Ckever man...we saw some fantastic topiary on the way back from the Lakes the other day...couldn't stop but it certainly gave the houses style.

It is an evergreen? Would look fabulous with Christmas lights on, it has the baubles all ready.

Oh Pete, we ate them!! (They were mini cream cakes, some with chocolate on, others with jam in as well as cream and some had that sort ot flaky pastry.......)

Great pic. of this Japanese way of trim Buxus bush . He`s doing a great job.
I `ve one, with five bowls, in a pot about one feet high, for more then 20 years.
( the timber of it is often use for making flute`s )
