.....is my effort for the memories collage this week.
I've had a passion for all things French ever since it was my pleasure and privilege, aged 11 and at girls' grammar school, to be taught the language precisely and grammatically.
My love affair with France was confirmed when I first visited the country, aged 16, with a school friend. For the past 20+ years Ray and I have visited once or twice per year. I'd love to have lived there but it's never been practical. Perhaps it's best to keep it a bit 'elusive'.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Beautiful collage, I egret ever since having taken Latin instead of French as my first choice of language - besides English which was compulsory of course- way back when. So had only a few years of French later in school. Wish I could speak better. I love France as well and since my cousin lives in Paris and my brother and his family outside of Avignon I do have lots of connections and go there a lot
You are very lucky to go to France so often, Karin. We manage once or twice a year - but I'm grateful for that! We went to Avignon a couple of years ago.

I've no doubt your French learning came after mine, Jan!
