Our friend Margaret's watercolour of Jinks is more accomplished than my photo of him admiring it but I wanted to seize the moment when she gave it to us yesterday.
The experimental part of this shot was to make it good enough to post: a crop of Jinks' rear end 'blown' in the light from the window (sorry, Jinks), conversion to sepia in Picasa and a play with the tones of that sepia which can tend to be a bit too 'in your face'.
p.s. AND Jinks moved his head as I took the shot
p.p.s. and thanks for all the photographic tips, Mike
Did Jinks get in a fight with his portrait ?. No ? Than he like it.
Beautiful drawing ( compliments tou you friend Margaret) and a funny capture and nice processing
Kathleen, thank you, that's exactly what I intended with the processing: the watercolour being in colour, since Jinks got trimmed he has not quite the same tones in his fur. I find my interest in this processing is eclipsing my interest in my main album!
Great drawing and great shot.
Arthur, yes, the nose might be more to the point - our friends have a cat!!
Thanks, Pam - I think the scent of our friends' cat may have had some part in Jinks' excitement. We were certainly delighted to receive his portrait!
Margaret, thank you. I think my friend, Margaret, will read your comment as she is one of my 'silent' followers.
So many thanks for the big fav!

Perhaps surprisingly, no barking, Tammy!
