This was the village church at Llangower, just down the road from Mark's house. I say 'was' because this church, plus two other local ones, was put up for sale by the Church in Wales a few years ago.
And Mark bought it.
He owns just the church, not the surrounding graveyard which I believe he said belongs to the Parish Council.
So far the only 'benefit' to accrue to Mark from buying the church has been spending a not inconsiderable amount repairing the tower.
We were going to put on our hard hats and have a look inside but time and the weather had the upper hand.
I was going to ask what happened to the graves but you already answered. The headstones seem to be surrounding, and quite close, to the church, which I imagine may make for a very small yard if the church were intended to be used as a residence.
ETA: forgot to add that it is a great shot with a lot of character.
Well good fir Mark...a little piece of his own history! I wonder if he could or would want to be buried there...must have crossed his mind even if he is young! That is a very old grave yard!

I think there is no garden (yard) at all.........
Yes, I’m sure he said he did.
