A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Am catching up with all and sundry after a highly charged period doing other things. Had to comment on this as Alba has the same colouring as my late younger brother who died in March last year. He was the only member of our generation who inherited my paternal father's red hair. It's splendid! ;-)
I asked google haaze....""once removed" means that they are one generation apart, "twice removed" means that they are two generations apart, and so on. Here's an example: My first cousin's child is my first cousin once removed. My first cousin's grandchild is my first cousin twice removed." ..TWICE it is haze , Lovely family pic , the best second cousin pic on 365 :)
Phil, thank you so much for your bit of research and yes, I did another search before I found your comment and agree that Is correct. I do find family trees really confusing! And yes it’s brilliant how we can find information in a trice now, information which would have taken much longer to trace in a ref book in the past. And I have rather a lot of pics of Alba......
Actually I'm now finding out that it's very wrong - but I haven't yet come to the conclusion!!!
