Santa by randystreat

Santa

We went out to look at the Christmas lights at a house not too far from where we live. This owner went to a lot of trouble to put out all kinds of lights and to program them to music. The music was broadcast on their own station, available only close to the house. There were other treats as well. A TV screen showed Elsa singing "Let it Go" from the Disney movie "Frozen." The coolest thing was Santa who would come to the window, wave, move back and forth and disappear. Very life-like as I hope you can see. Quite a Christmas treat, religious and secular.
You caught him

Lovely photo, what a nice display for all the kids to see. Someone's put a lot of work and thought into it..

@digitalrn @miata2u @jamibann @craftymeg @s4sayer @pyrrhula Thank you everyone. For those of you in the USA (I'm not sure if you have seen shows like this elsewhere), I felt like I was watching one of those Christmas specials about folks who really put up amazing displays at Christmas time. This home would fit right in.

That sounds really spectacular and Santa really does look so real. We have houses around here that do a lot with lights, but I haven't seen one with music set to it...yet! We had to laugh as our son in KY confessed he could really get into going crazy with the lights (although he hasn't yet). That was a bit of a surprise. Maybe I should tell him about this one for inspiration!

@olivetreeann My husband swore it was someone in the house standing in front of the window. We sat and watched it awhile and it moved back and forth the same way, so some sort of illusion. Your son would probably love some of those TV shows they start airing at Thanksgiving. This is really serious stuff for some people and they have BIG $$$ invested in their displays. That start working on them in January.
