What a blessing to be in a position to be able to give that support. So many people are finding themselves squeezed financially and not able so I will echo your sentiment above.
Great shot of the letter.
Normaly it`f full of bikes. Bikers are well protected in our country by law. We`ve special roads for them and when a car hits them it`s nearly alway`s the car to blame. They should had drive more carefully.
Our Parish doesn’t yet do this...although it's in train for the (near?) future. A worthy and practical initiative; long may it continue in our Church lives.
Nice! I grew up Presbyterian but now go to the Methodist church. We don’t make pledges unless we’re having a capital campaign so that we can build a new building or something like that. I like the composition of your photo.
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Yes, although not monetary. @mcsiegle Yes. Not everyone is able. I'm glad I can. @homeschoolmom My church is not too bad, but there's not a lot of events happening and staff is cut back. @pyrrhula Thank you @grammyn Thanks Katy @aikiuser Thank you Jenn @s4sayer The church has always asked for pledges, but unfortunately they are not always paid up. I guess the Bible promotes tithing, but not everyone does that either. @wakelys Thank you Susan. It doesn't really feel grand. @pusspup Thanks Wylie @carolmactx Thank you. We have capital campaigns from time to time in addition to pledges and they are usually for big structural preservations projects. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian. @craftymeg Thank you Margaret. I'm glad I can. @olivetreeann You are so right. And I'm not doing all I should either.
