Gratitude Day #10
I'm grateful that I live in a country where the news is not controlled by the government and where most of it is accurate. I'm grateful to have a media that reports events that occur in my community.
I read the paper every day but still sometimes wonder how much of it is accurate. We get the general idea though and good to keep up with news from around the world.
I'm not so sure about the accuracy of our major media! It's pretty slanted towards the opinion of the person who owns it. It might not be controlled by the government but it is most definitely controlled by someone.
Terrific photo for illustrating your gratitude. I agree with you it is not controlled by the government as in some countries but I am not sure about the accuracy of it either.
Iām glad to see that you subscribe to the print newspaper. Such a valuable resource and good to support that. So many local newspapers are going under in this age of the Internet .
I so prefer a printed paper, but will browse e-newspapers, and it's always interesting to compare how the red tops and broadsheets reporgbthe same news!!
I usually trust the local papers, but when it comes to the major network news sadly it seems to depend on who owns it. Let's just say, I definitely trust some more than others...
I thank all of you for your comments. I didn't express myself well in my comment. The local news has been fairly accurate and these papers are small town newspapers. I agree the national and world news is to be taken with a grain of salt. Fact check the important things and ignore the rest.
@will_wooderson Thanks.
