Several containers of meat added to the freezer today. They can be pulled out and turned into a small dish for one or two meals. A little difficult to cook "home cooked" meals for one.
I thought it said cooked ground barf! I had to read it again! aside from that a terrific image! I often make several meals ahead like this because cooking for two is not much better than cooking for one!
Good planning. Frank also is particularly good at freezing up leftover things for the future. Sometimes almost too good! Heβll grab some thing that I was looking forward to eating the next day and before I know it itβs in the freezer.
I'm still getting used to cooking for only two and it's been years since our sons moved out! Most of the time I make something and freeze half. This is a smart way to cook in my mind.
@francoise They are kinda cute, aren't they. @linnypinny Thank you Lin. I date stuff in the freezer now. At least when I finally get around to it, I know whether it's worth eating or needs to be pitched. I label it because i can't remember what in them. @grammyn That's right, but my husband and I probably ate too much so it wasn't as big a problem for me as one is. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. Works pretty well. @thewatersphotos Thanks Gary. @mcsiegle If I have leftovers like that I try to package them in individual portions. I can grab one out and heat it up. Doesn't take long and it's just enough. @Dawn Thanks Dawn. @kjarn Made you think so anyway. π @wakelys Thanks Susan. @olivetreeann Thanks Ann. Works if I remember to do it. @jb030958 Thanks Jennie. @craftymeg Thanks Margaret. @joemuli Thank you. @pyrrhula Thanks Ferry.
i used to do this when i first came to canada. now i prefer to cook my meal fresh or i eat out or order out. before covid, i would buy my lunch, eat half of it and the rest i have for dinner. new and freshly cooked every day.
