@wakelys Thanks Sue. It was a surprise to see it in a place where I could stop and take photos.
@grammyn Thank you Katy. It was a bit hard to see what I was taking because the sun was so bright so I had to rely on the camera to focus on what I wanted. Threw out a number of photos that didn't turn out so well.

@thewatersphotos No, no, no. My husband used to call these "D***ed old thistles." I wanted him to stop and so I could photograph some on the side of the rode once and nearly wouldn't.
@joemuli Thank you Joey. Yes the textures and colors are pretty. They have wicked sharp leaves and spread like crazy.
