I challenged my get-pushed partner last week to do an oil and water photo. Since it was raining today, I thought I'd try this myself and I had fun. The posted photo is a bit darker than what it is on my computer.
I think this is most creative! I presume it wasn't a fish, but the inks giving it that illusion? Well done for sticking to 365 over the years, I dip in and out although each time I do complete a full year!
@bkbinthecity Thanks Brian. @olivetreeann Thanks Ann. @grammyn Thank you Katy. Just the oil and waters shots weren't coming out very well, so added food coloring to the mix. @Dawn Than you very much Dawn. @shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. A little food coloring and a bit of vibrance in LR. @kwind Well I didn't notice the tadpole until you mentioned it. Thank you very much.. @kali66 Thanks so much Kali. @30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you Jackie. @pusspup Could be a giant tadpole. Thanks Wylie. @jamibann Thank you. @wakelys Thanks Sue. @kjarn Thank you Kathy. @mcsiegle Thank you Mary. I put out two books parallel to each other and put the lightbox app on my tablet to white and laid it between the books. The water, then the oil and food colors were in a pyrex baking dish. I shot from above, but not straight down. @marshwader Thank you for your kind words Madeleine. You are correct about this not being a fish. See the comment just above this one for how it was done. @craftymeg Thanks Meg. @haskar Thank you Hannah. @granagringa Thank you. I admit I "upped" the vibrance and probably the saturation just a bit in post processing. @pyrrhula Thank you very much Ferry.

When I fish saw this I thought that it was a Betta Fish.
