@cocokinetic Thank you Karen. It is nice to hear and see. So relaxing.
@craftymeg Thank you. I saw the scene when I got up but had to get dressed to go out and take the photo. I so like to sit around in my nightgown! :)
@wakelys Thank you Sue. I could see that reflection from the living room.
@joemuli Thanks Joey. Must be raining up and down the east coast.
@grammyn Thank you so much Katy. I was tickled to get the reflection.
@pyrrhula Thank you Ferry.
@Dawn Thank you Dawn. Probably a good thing I had to get dressed to go out and take this photo.
@tunia Thank you Tunia. A little wet in the corner of one end. Funny thing is, I don't even subscribe to this paper.
@kali66 Thanks.
@onewing I've had at least 6 inches since Monday night. Hope you get more.

Our local newspaper installs boxes near the mailboxes of each subscriber and yet I see many people's newspapers in bags like this lying on the roadway, in driveways and in ditches just because those who deliver them are too lazy to place them into the box.

Many years ago, I used to help a friend of mine on his route and we made sure they were on their porches out of the elements. Of course his route was in town where this, like us, is rural. But still, I see no excuse for it.

@skipt07 This is not the local paper that I subscribe to. It's a recent comer in the media field after our other local paper was bought out and changed the frequency it is printed, the news it contains and laid off many of the reporters/writers. The paper I subscribe to now comes with the mail on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This paper comes out once a week, on Saturday. I think the owners spread out copies hoping to interest people in subscribing to it. The news isn't very new and even less so when a Saturday paper is delivered on Thursday.

@randystreat - That kind of sounds like our local newspaper. It's been around for many years, but it keeps being sold to other media interests. Now it has become pretty useless as far as reporting the news. In fact, it doesn't report the news and let the reader decide for themselves, it interprets the news to push an agenda,

It use to print 6 days then it briefly printed 7 days. That was short-lived now it only prints 5 days and the price is ridiculous. But we keep getting. I wish there was an alternative.

After a super unusually wet winter, I can’t believe it, but I wish we could get a bit of rain now. I like your capture with the paper and its reflection.

June 23rd, 2023
Great capture and pov.

@skipt07 Did the internet kill the newspaper? I don't know but there's a good chance. It's certainly killing a lot of other things, IMHO.
@shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. The weather has been strange. Hope you get the precipitation you need to keep things green and growing.
@summerfield Thank you Vikki. Couldn't think of a 6-word title to enter that challenge.
@kjarn Thank you Kathy. So many cracks in my concrete driveway that I getting more and more opportunities for puddles and the fun they provide.
@fbailey Thanks Felicity.
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian. I hope they were good memories. neither I or my brothers delivered newspapers.
@elza Thank you Leli.

Great pov and shot. It's raining and let it rain!

@haskar Thanks so much Hannah. Yeah, rain for a few days doesn't get me down. I live on top of a hill so I know I won't flood. Of course that doesn't mean services like power and water and cable will stay on, but luckily I lost none.
June 24th, 2023
@randystreat - how about "news flash! it's raining! it's pouring!"
June 26th, 2023
@summerfield This was the day the rain sort of slacked off a bit. But I guess you're getting it. Hopefully you won't get the heat that followed behind our rain.
