Boro stitched needle book by randystreat

Boro stitched needle book

Rainy afternoons and evenings allow more time for projects. This was the result of the last Fiber Guild meeting program. Slow stitching. Boro is a Japanese way of repairing clothing and other things made from fabric. It's sort of quilting and decorative stitching. You can tell by my uneven stitches that I am a novice.
Very interesting handicraft, did you make a needlework case?

I love this! How interesting. The stitching - do you decide beforehand what pattern you'll be stitching a certain section? Some areas are in semi-circles, other are straight back and forth - I think the effect is just lovely.

@shutterbug49 Thank you Debbie. This was done in an app in my phone called Incollage.
@mcsiegle Thank you Mary. We have some clever and creative artists in the group.
