Life is fleeting for tulips --perhaps three weeks of glorious color then poof--it's over. This amazing bloom reigned supreme in the garden all morning. Later I watered a bit too ambitiously…all that remained was a stem, petals strewn everywhere on the brick patio. It was great while it lasted.
