Out on a Limb

Most days I'm looking capture a shot of a finch or a hummingbird in the big tree in front of my house. This morning I awoke to see a city worker in a harness hacking away huge limbs of my tulip/magnolia tree. It was startling since we got no advance notice and I was concerned about the effect on my bird habitat. The noise and ruckus definitely scared off the birds and made my stomach churn. The tree was due for a trim-it's now half its size-but hopefully the habitat won't be disrupted for long.
Most unusual that you were not informed. Trees grow so fast and I am sure the birds will appreciate the new growth too 😊

I believe that Tulip trees grow fast but the city should have sent some sort of notification.

What a surprise… don’t think I’d like being up there doing that!
