Colorless?
I have intentionally gray-scaled this image since we are definitely in the less colorful time of year (in this hemisphere). But there is also serenity in this corner of creation. Just you and the water … and the “mechanics” of a boat-and-oars to stay dry and move through the water. This is why rowing is often a spiritual time for me.
Despite the mid-40s (°F) temperature, Roland and I rowed on the lake again today, once the rain passed through our area. We discovered we could “dry-dock” at the second dock as we did Thursday at the first dock. We also learned that we could “pass” a tool between our boats on the water. It's actually a toss … with something buoyant attached! (Rowing shells cannot pass alongside each other close enough to make a real “hand-off” possible!)
