Regarding the rocker, the label under the seat identifies the manufacturer as “John D. Raab Chair Co. // Grand Rapids, Mich.” Googling the company name turns up that the company was in business from 1903 until 1921, when it was purchased by “Furniture Shops of Grand Rapids”.
The “Luce Furniture Shops of Grand Rapids” began in 1879 and combined with “Furniture Shops of Grand Rapids” in 1925, operating until it closed in 1938.
