Commencement 2012 by rhoing

Commencement 2012

My department chair asked me to take photos of all of our graduates after the ceremony today so I (more or less) stashed my T2i and Speedlite 430EX II under my academic regalia. I had agreed to be a faculty marshal; my assigned duty was to lead the master's degree candidates.

With that role I sat with Julie, an MFA candidate from our School of Art & Design, for the two-hour ceremony. After the ceremony, I never did find my own colleagues and graduates. (This was a completely redesigned commencement, so I had no pre-arranged way to find them, since I was not seated with either my faculty colleagues or our Ph.D. graduates.)

I did, however, see Julie with her family and took this shot as I sped by and she and her dad were posing for someone else. Congratulations and best wishes, Julie!

That was quite the assignment. How many shots did you take?

@digitalrn I found two of our Ph.D. graduates and that's the only shot I got that day of my department's people. :(
