Today’s post *had to be a shot from the equine center. I went to get a morning shot of a particular shadow that struck me earlier this week. I got the shots as best I could (I think I can do better), but then I had to turn around to go to campus.
There was a short “apron” here in front of a gate where I could turn around to head back toward campus, so I pulled in here. May as well try to get a shot of the horses. Almost immediately after closing my car door, I realized I heard a click and my keys were not in my pocket. Yep: right there in the ignition.
*Call Clare!* Cell phone? Right there on the front seat, don’t you know! So across the street to find humans and a phone. (I needed a directory, too; I never dial Clare’s work number. It’s a speed dial number, so it has long since been forgotten!)
Shot *lots* of horse photos while I waited for my rescuer and this was among them. I hope it gives you a chuckle. (The “straw” — i.e., “hose” — is probably more apparent in the magnified view.)

This great horse shot was well worth your day of misery! :) Sorry you had so many things go wrong, but fortunately you have a good woman to bail you out!
