“Alright Mr. DeMille, I’m ready for my closeup”

Because I wanted to get close enough with this post to see the lines (veins?) of the petal of the flower, it was reflexive to think of the famous quote from the movie “Sunset Boulevard” (1950) that I have used as the title.

This poor lily was ravaged by a Japanese beetle and this was about the only angle from which to shoot this flower and hide the damage.
