There may be cracks in the façade…

… and wrinkles on the outside, but this “sewing chair” is still quite serviceable, thank you very much. Like many of us, I suppose. This came from Clare’s family; I’ll have to find out more, but I think Clare and her brothers were probably rocked in this chair. Could this be the original cane back (and seat, not shown)?

Thom, the wood has its normal aging, it look sgood. The caining looks old too, and I would say very likely original. You might be able to tell more if you look at it from the underside to see if you can see any differences. either way it's a beauty
