Jars in a kitchen window

Today after breakfast in Davis Square, we walked from Porter Square to the Harvard campus, poking our heads into many shops, including Lizzy’s Ice Cream for “lunch.” (Some lunch, right?)

Steve’s parents invited us to have dinner at their home and it was a lovely, lovely evening with our two families gathered. Steve “mixed.” Elaine and Joe cooked. Me? I mostly stood around. Well, not entirely. I ate and drank everything put in front of me. :) Elaine is a 365’er, too — http://365project.org/xtech/365 — so I did some wandering around their garden … with camera! Inside, however, I liked these jars on Elaine’s kitchen window sill. I hope I haven’t taken a post away from you, Elaine!

Note to Clare: Notice how in some parts of the country, they can actually dine outdoors in mid-July!

We had such a wonderful time, Joe & Elaine; thank you again!!!

P.S. Elaine: I was quite tempted to post a shot of *your* dragonfly! http://365project.org/xtech/365/2012-06-18

Ha! You crack me up, Thom! Yes, we do actually eat outside in July! Today was 80 degrees with a beautiful breeze with a dew point in the 50's - had dinner on my porch! Really feel sorry for so many people enduring such heat and dry conditions. Elaine just commented on a photo of mine a couple of days ago, so I started following her - small world!
