Got up at 2 a.m. this morning to catch a 2:30 a.m. shuttle to the airport; my flight departed at 6:10 a.m. (“Stupid o’clock,” right Grace?) “Connected” in Dallas after grabbing some breakfast. Landed in West Palm Beach just minutes after my brother’s flight landed, so the scheduling worked! Car rental, then drive north to Dad’s condo.
A 3-frame day (my camera was packed “deeply”): two shots inside Dad’s condo to share with family and this shot of an hibiscus bloom just outside his building. I saw hummingbirds at these blooms a couple times, but never with my camera and I didn’t bring my longer lens.
I really would like to reshoot this one: the stigmas are mostly lost in the color of the petal behind them.
