[I’m also prompted to think of “fractals,” but I’m a nerd as we all well know…]
In their Florida condominium, Mom & Dad had at least two “chunks” of coral displayed. They rested on very simple, but very clever, acrylic stands. My brother & I wondered about saving them, but our homes in Michigan and Illinois don’t exactly lend themselves to a “sea motif” and besides, they were breaking up. (Our sister in North Carolina could probably take a 20-minute drive and find all she might want!) Anyway, before discarding them, I took lots of photos. Unfortunately, I did not take my flash attachment, so I had to “fix” the yellow-tinting from incandescent lighting in PS (Image > Adjustments > Auto Levels and Image > Adjustments > Color Balance… with –100 / 0 / 0 on the Midtones). I thought the result looks like popped popcorn.

@digitalrn They're so wicked sharp, though! Actually, it wasn't so hard because they were coming apart. Mom was alive when they were acquired, I think, and she passed away 22 years ago this month...
@trixiehiscock Fantastic! Thanks, Trixie! I always appreciate when I can have some confidence that I'm not being geeky or nerdy or seeing something no one else can see!
