(Sittin’ on) The Dock of the Bay

Tough row today. It wasn’t all that hot, but the combination of heat and humidity was quite taxing. I was glad to be “done” when I shot this at 11:30.

She was neither fishing nor “associated” with any of the boats. When I finally loaded my hardware and drove away from the lake, I passed her about two-thirds of a mile up the road. She apparently lives in the area and had just taken a walk to sit on the dock for a bit…

@danette That's part of what I liked, too. The “immensity” of a body of water dwarfs us mere human beings, which is why we must respect the laws of physics and fluid dynamics and all that stuff. When the winds whip up, I'm not much of a match in my 40-pound boat with a couple of oars possessing maybe ½-ft² of surface area each...
