How many of you can relate?

Shot 5 frames of this tree at mid-day and thought, “I already have today's post.” But then it was a struggle to get a post from the few frames I had.

I processed 3 of the images … kept coming back to this one … but wasn't happy with the result.

Finally it dawned on me what I really like about this tree and this shot: the “width” or “reach” of the tree. So I edited it accordingly to emphasize the width and this is what I came up with.

I wouldn't mind processing it more and softening the background to make the tree “pop” more, but I'm already 2+ weeks behind in posting.
