Our old-man-of-the-house…

We don't know how many days he has left with us, but it's probably not many. My only other alternative post was to show all three rowing shells in their racks in the garage, but rowing compared to Jack?

Jack has been with us for more than 16 years. Nearly two *years* ago his prognosis with a hyperthyroid condition was 6–7 *months*, so he's beaten the prognosis by quite a bit.

He's been a good pet and a good feline-friend to all four of us in the household and to all of our visitors. He really has been a remarkable cat.

Here he sleeps in Clare's chair, below a small plaque on the wall that reads, "If you want the best seat in the house, move the cat."
