“Queen’s tears” by rhoing

“Queen’s tears”

A bromeliad from the greenhouse. According to wikipedia, “it is probably one of the most common bromeliads grown.”

From the Missouri Botanical Garden write-up for another plant,* nutans “means to nod or nodding. Latin for swaying…”

Striking little coils on this plant; my favorite is the first color photo.

The black and white helps me notice the curls, because when I look at the color versions, the color steals the show!
