First sighting in 3 years? by rhoing

First sighting in 3 years?

And only my second sighting of a Tawny Emperor? This little guy was above our front door on the west side of the house in the morning under an overhang, so the lighting wasn't great. This shot is "filled" with flash.

[Certainly a brushfooted butterfly > family Nymphalidae.]
Confirmed at BAMONA as “Asterocampa clyton” or “Tawny Emperor”; http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/sighting_details/1101195

The flash produces a shadow which adds to the shot!
