A new car with ~25 miles. Still pristine, but what’s fascinating to me is “just” how engineers and manufacturers get it all to fit. There isn’t much/any wasted space—
» Wiring for electrical and electronics…
» Hoses for liquids and gases…
» Not to mention all the mechanicals!
» Manufactured and assembled to last for years.
And it all fits in the engine compartment. Amazing.
For future look-ups!

2.0 or 1.6? My 2013 Escape has the 2.0. In looking at the new ones, per consumer reports, the 1.6 shakes when it idles. I do love the gas mileage though!
@marlboromaam I'm going to put this up in the description because so many times I have to go to the files to see the particular engine and package set! From the window sticker:

We are loving the gas mileage, too! We recently made the 500-mile to her mom's on a tank of gas with 100 miles to empty when we arrived. While this depends on the size of the gas tank, too, the 2010 never allowed us more than 400 miles range and that was taking the tank to empty.
Interesting! No shaking when it idles? I haven't taken any long trips in a while with it. Just mainly short ones and I fill up when it gets down to half a tank. Still looking for a newer one with low mileage that will fit my budget.
@rhoing You've had a few more than me! Whatever I get next - will most likely be the last one I'll own. I keep renewing my warranty through the dealership. It's still cheaper than a new car! But it's time for a newer model with less mileage.
