Although it is not a “lily”: “It is not a true lily in the genus Lilium, but gets its common name from the superficial similarity of its flowers to Lilium and from the fact that each flower lasts only one day” (Wikipedia).
I’m intrigued by the “scraped” patch on the bottom petal—
• Bird or insect damage?
• Genetic sort of imperfection?
But I also just liked how the flower was in light and the background is in shadow. (No ON1 work there! The time was 11 a.m. and the sun was just peeking over the roof of the house.)
