June word challenge - jaded

The children certainly begin to feel jaded after a few SATs papers and I start to feel jaded after filling in all the analysis sheets. Actually I don't mind it so much as I like working with numbers and our year 3/4 class has only 14 children so it's not too much work!

I am certainly feeling jaded regarding my career ... I've had my working hours reduced twice, down to 16 hours which means not earning enough to live, no chance of career progression, we have an awful head teacher that makes everyone miserable on a daily basis and my teacher training attempts have been unsuccessful due to there being 10 applicants for every place...maybe next time? When will something give?!
Teaching - the most stressful job after registrars in hospitals. I'm a teacher too, so I know what you're feeling. Good photo showing yet more of the paper work that weighs us down. Hope you're feeling more positive once the break starts and you can have some time to recover.

@clareannbrady
I'm just a TA - been trying to be a teacher but can't get a place on training, despite ten years experience as a TA. Thanks for your comment, bring 'stuck' gets me down but I know one day something has to change!

Those look familiar!
I teach, and have been very fortunate to have an intervention role for the last 3 years, teaching only maths, to individuals and small groups. Though I do work in a school which has been in special measures, and had several changes in senior leasdership during that time, none of which has been easy.
I hope and pray that something changes for the better for you soon.

Heehee, just how many 365ers teach??? roachling, there is no such thing as JUST a TA any more. Early Years is the best place to be, because we are all referred to as EY practitioners, which is how it should be.

@sarahdel
Thank you. I've had two failed attempts at getting on a GTP and no luck finding another job. I hope it'll be third time lucky!

@yotulip
Thank you. I don't really like working with KS2, I prefer EYFS or year 1, but I was moved to KS2 18 months ago to teach algebra to a gifted and talented y4 child and then after he moved on the teacher wouldn't let me go because I'm more competent than the younger and less experience TAs who don't have the maths and english knowledge I have - and she's the head so she's gets to decide :(
I've been trying to get other jobs but it's hard as there are so many applicants!

Chin up @roachling I'm sure you'll get there in the end :-)
